Not after a year is Kosovo part of Council of Europe agenda

Isuf Halimi, director at the European Centre for Human Rights in Strasbourg, where the Council of Europe headquarters is, said that “Kosovo is not at all on the agenda of the Council of Europe meeting ministers to be held on May 16th and 17th”.
Halimi, said that as a non-government organisation, they try to push the Kosovo issue forward to put it into the agenda. According to him, there have so far been over 80 meetings with various acts in Kosovo's lobby sphere.
Halimi says Kosovo's “government does not have an action plan, in addition to the introduction of”. According to him, there are two-three persons dealing with this issue on behalf of Kosovo, but are extremely closed and do not attempt co-operation with Kosovo and Albanian actors located there, and especially with civil society, which has a high impact (transmet Klan Kosova).
He is sceptical that this year Kosovo can become a member of the KiE, though he says there may be some surprises that can be found by June, when it is likely to enter the agenda.
The director of the European Centre for Human Rights, suggested that the French media are very interested in reporting on the Kosovo and Balkan situation in relation to Europe.
While, the state of Spain remains the most reluctant for Kosovo's admission to the Council of Europe.
