In the first quarter of 2022, notes an increase in the demand for loans from citizens to finance consumption, as well as in the purchase of homes.
These two types of loans have marked the greatest increase, according to the report “Banking Creditment Index” recently published by the CEC.
“If we unlock credit demand according to types of loans for household economies, it turns out that demand for consumer credit marked growth with a positive index of 0.22, while the demand for housing purchases marked growth with a positive index of 0.118x1>, the report said.
Exactly, five banks, according to the CEC, have reported increasing demand for these two types of loans.
“If we compare the current credit demand results with the expectations of banks declared in the previous survey for the same period, the current level of demand growth is higher for both types of loan”.
According to the report, the factors that positively influenced the dynamics in credit demand were the need to finance consumer spending and, in a positively low level, affected the market prospects of real estate.
These two types of loans top the list as the most wanted by banking clients in Kosovo, even according to a GAP Institute survey.
53 percent of residents have been declared for the type of consumer/ personal credit, while the second on the list is “Kredi for the purchase of the house” by 17 percent. 6 percent have reportedly entered loans to purchase cars and as many business expansion loans.
