Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK) has published the harmonised consumer price index (IHÇK) for February 2023, stressing that the overall harmonised consumer price index is higher at an average of 10.5% in February 2023, compared to February 2022.
According to the AKS, monthly inflation measured by the harmonised consumer price index was (-0.3%) in February 2023.
The overall harmonised consumer price index dropped (-0.3%) in February 2023, compared to January 2023.
According to the AKS, this is largely explained with the decline in consumer prices in COICOP subgroups: solid fuels, firewood, diapers, etc. (six.8%); transport services (-5.3%); fuel and lubricants for personal transport equipment (-4.8%); purchase of vehicles (-2.0%) with a common impact of these subgroups of (-0.9 percent) on IHCH.
While price hikes are noted in COICOP subgroups: vegetables (8.4%); tree (3.2%); personal care (0.8%); milk, cheese and eggs (0.7%); mineral water, nonalcoholic drinks, juices from trees and vegetables (0.5%); bread and cereal (0.4%), with a combined impact of these subgroups of 0.6 percent in IHCK.
