All earthquakes threatened Albania, new seismic map published

The increased seismic activity of recent years has prompted experts to assess that Albania's new seismic map, expected to be published in November, is one and not divided into areas as it is today. This is because the whole country is threatened by seismic activities.
There won't be a well-determined area division for the fact that the effect of the earthquake lies in space and it's pointless to have a local division and say this area of territory is more affected or endangered in relation to other areas, when these areas actually interact with each other”, says seismologist Edmond Dushi.
On the new seismic map, it will be recommended that constructions should be based on Eurocode 8 to withstand earthquakes with high magnitudes.
According to experts, November 26 of 2019 indicated that strong earthquakes are present in Albania. However, for seismologists the fact that the whole region, including Albania, has intense seismic activity, is not disturbing.
