Donjeta Sadick is being denied basic right, India's giving him a visa three times and leaving him without a World and no potential medal

Kosovo boxers are still facing problems for participating in major championships by states that do not recognise the state of Kosovo. The last case is again associated with the boxer Donjeta Sadiku.

The Box Federation has submitted the complete documentation for participation in the World Championship since January, which will be held on 14-26 March 2023 in New Dehli, India.

India is a country that had refused visa equipment for Donjeta Sadik twice in the past. Even the third time seems to be near, since until today there is no answer.

Donjet was seen as a favourite to secure medals for our country, taking into account its potential, as well as the fact that nine states do not participate in this championship as a sign of protest for the participation of Russia, a state that is continuing with aggression over Ukraine.

Kosovo Box Federation Secretary-General Latif Demolli told the newspaper Express that on Monday the Kosovo team should leave for India, but that now hopes have waned.

Unfortunately, Kosovo boxing is continuing injustice. We've been running visas for three months, we've been exhausted, we've been getting tired, and we've got nothing at all. Donjata Sadiku has not yet been equipped with Indian visas. We've booked tickets for March 13th, but we still have visas. Today, Friday, we hoped but received no answers. On Monday we were supposed to leave for India because Tuesday is the lot. Monday is the last day of registration. Our expectations have waned, 60 percent are the odds that we will get visas, the 40 that we will get”, Demolli said.

He praised this situation as shameful and as an injustice being done to the successful Kosovo athlete. Demolli accused IBA President Umar Nazarovich Krelev, who came from Russia, who is deliberately allowing such injustices to be done.

This is shameful, this is an injustice that is being done for the third time to Kosovo's successful athlete. After twice rejecting us, India had been banned from international competitions, but even then it was granted the right to organize the World Boxing Organization. Imagine, Russia has been permitted to attend us. The IBA president is Russian and he's allowing this injustice, he's not doing enough, even though the IBA had promised us a few months ago that he would solve this issue with the Indian government. I wrote them today. The IBA letter and I complained. I will also write to all the Federations of the world, to announce this injustice to us”, Demolli added.

FBoxK's secretary said that even though MKRS and MPJ have been long announced on the issue, neither has it produced results.

The last World's “won the bronze medal in Turkey, and now Donjet was able to be proclaimed world champion after 9 states have withdrawn because of Russia's participation. But, the Indian government is also this time being unfair and ruthless towards us, as this country still does not recognise Kosovo as a state. On the past two times, Kosovo institutions had complained that we had not announced them in advance. Now, we've already announced in time the Ministry of Sports and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which promised to engage in this case, but now the result is being seen...”, Latif Demoll said.

Despite the Kosovo Box Federation feeling “dored”, it remains to be seen whether the “miracle “will happen on Monday, which would enable the Kosovo team to implement visa equipment, hence participation in the World Champions.
