Dea moved from California to Las Vegas in 1980. The famous Wizard David Copperfield was friends with her in her later years.
“Gloria was wonderful. She was funny and attractive”, Copperfield told the newspaper. It was an honor to meet him. ”
Dea was 19 when she performed in El Rancho Vegas on May 14, 1941.
Her show at Roundup Room is the first recorded performance by a wizard in Las Vegas.
After moving to California, Dea appeared in several films including Mexicana in 1945, King of the Congo, with protagonist Buster Crabbe in 1952, and Ed Wood's 9 From Ocean Space Plan in 1957.
According to Revie-Journal, Dea was a single child and had no close family. Her husband, Sam Anzalon, a former California car sales executive, died in January 2022.
