Through the 24-hour report, police have announced that fraud reported with counterfeit money has been encountered in four different countries in the country -- Pristina, Gjilan, Prizren and Vushtrri.
In the Pristina municipality, according to the police report, a woman has reported having encountered several bank notes allegedly forged, and that the case is already in investigative procedure.
Meanwhile, in the municipality of Gjilan, on Isa Boletini Street, about 7: 30 p.m., a woman reported accepting a 100 - euro counterfeit from one person.
“Monde has been confiscated and the case is being investigated”, police say.
Likewise, in the Prizren municipality on Besim Shala Street, around 12:18, a man reported to the police that he encountered several bank notes allegedly forged, deposited by unknown persons.
And according to the police announcement, the case is already under investigation.
Also, in Prizren around 14:30 a woman has reported that she has encountered a total of 100 euros allegedly forged and that the case is under police investigation.
Meanwhile, in the Vushtrria municipality on Hasan Pristina Street on January 27th, a person has reportedly accepted a 20 euro amount allegedly forged.
According to police, the amount of money has been confiscated and the case is being investigated.
We remember that Interior Minister Jedal Svecla has reacted on March 14th after receiving a considerable amount of counterfeit currency in Prizren.
“Dukury of production and introduction of counterfeit currency continues to remain an extremely disturbing fact except that such an act is a criminal act”, Svechla wrote on Facebook.
He has said that Kosovo police and other security officers are fully committed to the localisation and bringing to justice all those involved in this illegal activity. Police report, five cases of counterfeiting money.
