Average salary up in Albania

The average gross monthly salary for an employee in Albania has gone to 66,014 leks [568 euros]

According to the Statistics Institute, this data is for the fourth month of last year, and compared to the same period a year ago, a 10.8 percent increase is noted.

But even though there is an increase in the average salary, there is still a gap between sectors. The data shows that a wage employee in the financial and security sector has an average salary of 2.15 more than other employees in different sectors of the economy.

Agriculture is the sector that has the largest average salary growth of 18.2 percent compared to a period a year ago, but again compared to other sectors has the lowest average salary.
