Russia has focused major efforts in the town of Bakhmu, in the Donjetsk region. President Zelensky described the situation there as extremely difficult and said it was being fought for every meter of territory. “The situation on the front of the war, especially in the Donjetsk and Luhansk regions, remains very difficult. Battles are under way every meter of Ukrainian soil. Ukraine is consuming missiles, at a faster pace than it can produce west, and requires long-range warplanes and rockets to cope with the Russian offensive and release lost territory.
The United States and NATO pledged that aid will not be missing during a meeting of defence ministers in Brussels. We expect a new major offensive from Russia in the spring. Ukraine has been fighting for a year, so we will do everything we can to secure the necessary ammunition as soon as we can, Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin said.
According to “Wall Street Journal”, the US Army is praising the possibility of sending thousands of seized weapons and more than 1 million ammunition believed to be destined for Iranian-backed militias to Yemen.
