VV) convinced that minimum wage is prosecuted within the year, opposition urges veterans to be included in the law

The minimum wage has remained in the House drawer. After the first reading transition in June last year, the same has not yet been prosecuted. The ruling party has said this second-read bill will be prosecuted very soon, while the opposition demands that the same be prosecuted as soon as possible. They want veterans involved.

The Democratic Party of Kosovo says it will not vote on this bill unless veterans are involved. And by the Democratic League of Kosovo, they say that voting for this bill will be decided when it is prosecuted in the Assembly.

Vetevendosje Movement MP Armend Muja argued the delays with demands made by the interest parties. The muja has expressed confidence that the Law will be passed this year.

“We have adopted it in principle, now it's in the Assembly, but there has been a demand from the interest parties a kind of agreement to continue the dialogue with the good intention of finding agreement on the obligations that come from one side but also on the other, and we've been waiting for this dialogue, and we still hope that this will improve positively for the two sides. However, I must point out that the law for minimum reading wage will be processed soon even within this year. Because it is necessary for 100 and 5 thousand Kosovo citizens. Muja also responded to opposition criticism that they will not vote on the Law unless veterans are involved. According to Muja, the latter have left the Minimal Salaries in 2016.

MP The PDK has conditioned that they will not vote on the draft bill unless veterans are involved.

There's no explanation or logic, no law, no moral sense for veterans to discuss or be at the minimum wage. The government does not hold to the legislative agenda, we will give it our proposals, not to accept it, but not to allow such a thing to be discussed without veterans, he said.

Democratic League of Kosovo MP Rzazarta Krasniqi said the government should not be acquitted with past governments, says the bill is deliberately delayed.

She added that the minimum wage in this bill is not enough to take into account the economic situation in which citizens are found.

The ruling party must deal with these bills, not allow the blame so far for all the preliminary governments that have been, because it's been nearly two years and we haven't had anything from this government, in order to delay it. We as LDK have not yet decided whether to vote on it or not when it comes to the Assembly. As far as the minimum wage is concerned, there are currently 150-euro employees who are not paid the minimum wage”.
