Visible oil price drop warned from March to Kosovo

Kosovo Oil Association Chairman Fadil Berjan has said that by March, the price of derivatives will be markedly dropped. According to Berjan, the price of derivatives in Kosovo is cheaper compared to the countries in the region.

In an interview for Online Economics, Berjani has said that the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Trade and Trade's recent decision is unilateral, but says it is being respected.

He says they were not invited to participate in consultations the day the decision was made on the profit margin.

This is a decision that has been issued without our presence, where the task was that part of this decision to make was to be the Oil Association. What about us as the association and as oil sector businesses, the decision is being respected and respected over time. This decision is slightly different than the past two decisions. This is about commercial margins or margins of profit. The profit margin is for importer 2 cents, while retail is 12 cents. This margin is not enough, but the decision is being respected throughout Kosovo”, he says.

Berjan has said the price of derivatives in Kosovo is very low. The current price in three is about 1.35 cents per litre.

“As far as the price of oil derivatives is concerned, the price today is brought in a litre of diesel 1 euro and 35 cents, while gasoline is 1 euro and 32 cents. We're the cheapest in the region besides Northern Macedonia, so our citizens are at a real price at the market. According to information from the production organization O PEKA, it is a reality and it is expected that the month will still be at the price of cheaper derivatives. So we think about the production organization. O The PEK, which has issued a decision, reportedly will be the stabilisation of the market across the globe”, he said.

While for the opposition's demands to temporarily evacuate the oil excise, Berjan considers them unfair. He says it fills the state budget.

I haven't asked for the removal of the excise once even when Prime Minister Thaci, Isa Mustafa, Ramush Haradinaj, now Albin Kurti, I haven't once demanded that Kosovo's budget fill up, and many political parties are making the mediatical show of political parties, to win the political position they seek to lift the excise, they know that the excise fills the budget and should not be required. I haven't even asked for it and yet we don't ask for it”, he says, as he also pointed out the prices brought to the region.

“Today a litre of diesel in Albania is 1 euro and 75 cents, gas 1 euro and 78 cents, so for 40 cents we are cheaper than Albania. There's a lot of extra taxes there, we have except the excise and television, they have roads and they have extra taxes”, Behrani says.
