The 7.8-strong quake rocked southeastern Turkey in the early hours of Monday.
Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said the 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck at 4:17 a.m. (0117 GMT) and was centred in the province's Pazarcik district of Kahramanmaras on Monday.
Many people are reportedly still trapped in ruins, and the rescue operation may be hampered by bad weather.
