Olga Gorgolla and two children have left her homeland for three months now. Ukrainian refugees say the town of Kharkiv is facing terrible war, and other family members are already left there.
“Do not turn yourself in” is Gorgola's message to an anniversary of Ukraine's Russian invasion.
She is the only refugee currently standing here along with 12 other journalists sheltered in Kosovo.
“I'm from the town of Kharkov, you know from the history of the Kharkov war, is one of the hottest and most dangerous territories that started on February 24th”, she relates.
Ukrainian refugees are staying in Kosovo with their two daughters, but another part of the family is in Ukraine.
I only came to Kosovo with two children, and in Ukraine I have left my family, my brother, my mother and my father... all Ukrainian citizens who have been scattered around the world on this day unite and show solidarity and support against the harsh fight from Russia. And with this warmth I wanted to give you an important message that you don't turn yourself in”, she added to KosovoPress.
On a anniversary of the start of the Russian invasion, Ukrainian journalists have marched into the capital squares with placards in hand, with messages of war and thanks for Kosovo.
At the end of the march, near the “Zahir Pajaziti” Square, journalists are lighting candles and singing Ukraine's anthem.
