Ukraine, which has been at war since February last year, has joined other countries worldwide, offering help to Turkey, which, along with Syria, was hit by two deadly earthquakes on February 6th.
Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelensky, has announced he will send a rescue team to Turkey.
That decision was also announced to Turkey's president, Recep Tayp Erdogan, during a conversation today.
In a conversation with Turkey's president, Recep Tayip Erdoğan, I expressed my condolences about the terrible tragedy Turkey's people experienced by earthquakes. I informed him of the decision to send a team of rescuers and equipment from Ukraine to Turkey, which would help eliminate the consequences of the emergency situation. Ukrainian specialists have a corresponding experience in overcoming the effects of natural disasters and will arrive in the regions affected at the shortest possible time --”, Zelensky wrote.
