Last week, the United States and Germany have announced they will send Abrams tanks to Ukraine, respectively.
Ukraine has said these tanks will help it confront any potential Russian offensive in the spring.
Zelensky has said his country will need at least 300 Leopard tanks to defeat Russia.
Many European states have Leopard 2 tanks in their inventorys, and the German decision implies that some states can make shipments to Ukraine.
Germany hopes some 90 such tanks will be sent to the battlefield.
Poland wants to export 14 Leopard 2 tanks, while Norway has yet to know the exact number.
The UK has been the first NATO member country to have pledged to send modern tanks to Ukraine.
