Ukraine has released a new bill on the occasion of an invasion anniversary. The country's central bank discovered today the 20-year-old model of the bank bill (0.51 Euro), in which three soldiers are displayed carrying the national flag on one side and two hands bound on the other.
In a presentation at Kiev, Andriy Pyshnyi, governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, said the small “paper “describes a year of emotions, models, content and iknic things”.
It took eight months to identify and produce the currency, according to central bank officials, and it's the first in a set of planned commemorative notes.
Officials said the bills are ready to mark Ukraine's victory and reconstruction.
Pysny added that Ukrainians “have understood their strength, their importance, their ability not only to cope but also to win, without pardoning a single military crime, a single house destroyed”.
The bank has worked this year to ease the impact of war on Ukraine's economy. /A2 CNN
