Our struggle continues to heal the wounds of the earthquake disaster that affected our city and 10 neighboring cities on February 6, 2023. After such a disaster, we can't talk about football.
First, we wish God's mercy to our citizens who died of the earthquake, rapid recovery of our wounded, and rapid recovery for all our citizens who have not yet been found.
It does not seem possible for our club to continue its sports activity in all these difficult conditions.
With the decision made by our Steering Board, our Gaziantep Football Club has decided to withdraw from the Superleague and Turkey's Ziraat Cup events in the 2022-2023 season.
We believe that the city and our country will heal the wounds of this earthquake disaster as soon as possible, and we want to thank all those who stood by us with their support”, the Gaziantep club reports.
