Threats for Kosovo Bombs, Experts Speak

A series of alarms for explosive devices occurred in Kosovo recently. In addition to Kosovo, security experts suggest similar threats have occurred in the region. In recent months, false bomb alarms have been added to Kosovo. Another bomb threat has alarmed Pristina Airport days ago, but later clarified it is false as Kosovo police intervened. These alarms are causing a wrong perception of security, Interior Minister Jalal Svecla says they will be investigated in detail.
We will investigate the origin of these threats in detail and take drastic measures against those who commit such legal violations”, Svecla has said.
Rashit Qalaj, former director of the Kosovo Police, currently a member of the Parliamentary Commission for Security and Defence Affairs, told Radio Kosovo that bomb threats are unlikely to result in truth. But, he says all reports should be taken seriously. Qalaj said public objects do not have enough security due to the lack of security personnel.
Because of the financial cost, institutions are reluctant to contract private insurance. While the Kosovo Police are engaging in government facilities, which I think is wrong, because even government objects must contract any private companies or security workers in order to free police from these physical guards' jobs and police do their legally defined work”, Qalaj told Radio Kosovo.
Security expert Nuredin Ibishi says bomb threats could be part of a hybrid war aimed at panic.
This is currently addressing this Russian civil war. These security aspects should be taken seriously and all measures are taken as evacuation and discovery”, Ibishi said.
According to security experts, such alarms in the region lay the need for relevant security institutions to increase the level of readiness and exchange information if the messages sent are interlocked and have the same goal, to instill fear and panic in citizens and thus destabilise social and political order.
