At the annual conference of the Group for Juridical and Political Studies (GLPS), in which discussion of the country's progress is being discussed, Szunyog showed the two less positive points last year.
He made it known that they have disagreed with the Assembly's approach regarding the adoption of the Law on Salaries.
“Two approvals made at the end of last year, reviewing the Law for Salaries, the Law for Public Officials, as we have said before, do not agree with the approach that the Parliament has taken to adopt these laws in quick procedure, because such laws should include useful consultations with all interest parties, yet these discussions have not been made... I would like to stress that these consultations with civil society in the public should be assessed, for this it is important that the Government provide information on what action is taken for the consultation process, he stated.
Szunyog stressed that the government has also failed to take into account EU comments regarding the Law on Public Officials.
This law directly relates to the principle of modern public administration and relations for stabilisation between Kosovo and the EU. We share the same objective of building capacities and accept that there is a gap in this regard. The EU, however, disagrees with the way the government has chosen to review this Law. And that's what I'm sorry to say that the comments we've made, none of these have been taken into account by Government or Parliament”, he added, conveys tove1.info
The prime minister, Albin Kurti, was present at this conference.
