The Kosovo Assembly has not given the green light to the agreement signed by the Minister of Finance with the OPEC Fund for International Development for obtaining a loan of up to $40m as budgetary support, Online Economy reports.
Initially, Minister Iron Murati announced to lawmakers that he has signed this agreement while demanding approval.
The Public Finance Credit Agreement totals $40m, and is in the form of direct budget support for the Kosovo budget. This agreement comes as a continuation of the development policy agreement that has been with the World Bank”, he said.
The excuse not to vote on this agreement, according to the opposition, was that the same does not link with any capital project.
