In a statement Friday, the Metropolitan Fire Department of Antalya said the 15-year-old Ayfer was taken out of the ruins in the 99th hour following the earthquake and her sister, Fatma, 13 years old, was saved two hours later, CNN reports.
Rescuers using seismic sensors discovered signs of life under the ruins and carried out a 10-hour rescue operation to reach Ayfer's location, the statement said.
Firefighters spoke with Ayfer in an effort to keep him conscious. She said she missed the ice cream, and they promised her they'd give some when she got out safely.
They also released the music she requested.
