Following two devastating earthquakes that hit Turkey on the morning of February 6th, the country was hit yesterday by two other powerful earthquakes.
By Turkish media, 6 people have lost their lives, while another 680 have been injured as a result of quakes measuring 6.4 and 5.8.
Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu said: “has had another earthquake. We've received information that 3 citizens lost their lives, one in Antalya, one in Dafne and one in Samandag. According to information received from the AFAD, a 6.4 - magnitude earthquake occurred at 20:04, whose epidera was Hatay Defne. The depth of the earthquake is located at 16,74 km. While the earthquake has felt strong, citizens are panicking.
After the 6.4 quake, another 5.8 magnitude earthquake occurred this time in the Samandag district of Hatay at 20:07. The depth of the 5.8 earthquake was determined seven kilometers. Teams are investigating if there are people under the rubble after the severe earthquake.
