“They started the war and we used the force to stop it”, Putin said.
He added that Russia wants “to protect people and their homes” and accused the West of wanting “an infinite” power.
“They spent $150 billion in military support of the Kiev regime”, he said.
Western “Elites are not hiding their intentions... they are trying to spur a strategic defeat on Russia”, the Russian president added.
