In the neighborhood squares of the capital, wandering dogs are present all the time.

Although they have seen citizens and municipalities, still no one has until this year counted them.

It was now done by the Foundation for Animal Rights, reports “You speak Pristina”.

And according to them, throughout the Pristina municipality territory, there are 2926 stray dogs.

While only 12% of spoiling citizens keep dogs in their homes.

But they throw their cubs into the street, which is a disturbing fact about the Foundation.

In all of this report, 91% of the dogs identified on the street enjoy proper well - being.

But with that figure, the Pristina Community is not agreeing.

According to Bajram Gekaj, adviser to President Progress Rama, there are more stray dogs in the capital, starting with the treatment this institution received to these animals.

We've treated 2,000 stray dogs in 2022, and we still have six tears, six veterinarians that are dealing with stray dogs. So far we have contracts to treat 5,000 stray dogs. Their treatment will take place this year, the rest of the”, Gecaj said.

Bajram Gecaj told the show “You speak Pristina” that the municipality is constantly dealing with the treatment of these animals, and a good solution is to build housing for these animals, which will soon become functional once the creation of proper infrastructure is completed. /Klankosova. tv
