Carter, will spend the remaining time at home with his family, instead of additional medical interventions, has released the “Carter Centre”.
He has full support for his family and his medical team. The Carter family requires privacy during this time and is grateful for the concern shown by its many fans”, says the Centre “Carter” statement, the BBC, broadcasts Klankosova.tv.
Born in Georgia in 1924, Carter entered politics in the 1960s when he was elected as a state senator before becoming governor of the state in 1971.
Five years later he defeated incumbent Republican President Gerald Ford to become the US's 39th president.
In August 2015, Carter was removed from his liver by a small measure of cancer. A year later, he announced that there was no need for further treatment, since an experimental drug had eliminated any sign of cancer.
