Police detail: Three drug labs discovered in the north, arrested

Kosovo police have announced that three drug labs have been discovered after an anti-drug operation conducted in northern Mitrovica, writes Periscopi.

Through a police report, two suspects have been arrested.

“During the implementation of this antidrug operation, three (3) narcotic plant labs have been discovered; two labs with about 1,200 narcotic plants, as well as the third laboratory (without plants) with sophisticated narcotics plant cultivation equipment at”, the police report said.

Kosovo police, namely the Directorate for Trafficking in Narcotics, as you have been announced earlier, today in 12,02.23, in the region of Mitrovica north, have conducted an anti-drug police operation, with the support of other relevant police units.

Police operation codenamed “The” sword was implemented in three (3) locations.

Three (3) narcotic labs have been discovered during the implementation of this antidrug operation; two labs with about 1,200 narcotic plants; and the third laboratory (without plants) with sophisticated equipment to grow narcotic plants on it.

Police units to this stage have managed to arrest two (2) suspected Serb men, since all other police actions in the process are being undertaken and will be undertaken in co-ordination with justice bodies.

Police remain strongly committed to fighting all criminal activities in the country, in particular war and non-competitive, will be carried out against persons or criminal groups dealing with abuse, possession, cultivation or trafficking of narcotics (drugs) in general.
