The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, during the Munich Security Conference, has met with the president of the Republic of Latvia, Egils Levis.
Osmani has thanked President Levis for his commitment and continued support for Kosovo on the international stage, including in the membership processes in Euro-Atlantic structures and other international organisations, while stressing that Latvia remains a friend and a strong ally of the Republic of Kosovo.
The president briefed President Levis on the current security situation in Kosovo and the region, as well as recent developments in dialogue with Serbia. She said Kosovo continues to actively contribute to peace and stability processes.
Both agreed to intensify co-operation in the coming months to advance Kosovo's membership process in the Council of Europe, where Latvia officially assumes the presidency since May of this year.
