Last year, Hughes worked as an adviser to the African national. His assistants in the new adventure will be George Boateng and Didi Dramani.
The “Kinj” took part in the Qatar World Under the direction of Otto Addo. The African national failed to pass through the group phase.
Houghton led the Newcastle teams, Nottingham Forest, Brighton, Norwich and Birmingham to England earlier.
