Northern Macedonia President, His Cabinet Remains Without January Pay

Northern Macedonia President Stevo Pendarovski and his cabinet have not received salaries in January, because the Finance Ministry has not had additional means for paying salaries, the president's cabinet announced on Friday. The argument that the President's Office has received from the Ministry of Finance is that they have not had [...] tools.

The argument that the President's Office has received from the Ministry of Finance is that there have been no additional means in the 2023 budget for paying salaries of employees in the State President's office, but Pendarovski's cabinet has considered him unfounded.

The president's <x0... Office, in accordance with the Kolektive Agreement signed with the Workers' Union, predicted a 5 per cent salary increase for civil servants only employed by the Office of President”.

This growth is not valid for the president, appointees and special advisers in the cabinet. Tools for the 2023 budget have been provided with personal savings in our institution's budget, and no additional resources have been requested by the Finance Ministry”, the President's Office report said.
