The US has crashed another unidentified flying object in the fourth military operation of its kind this month alone.
President Joe Biden ordered that she fall near Lake Huron, near the Canadian border on Sunday afternoon.
A military commander said it could be a “type of gas balloon”, while adding it did not rule out the possibility of these objects being aliens, writes the BBC, says Periscope.
North American Comando General Glen VanHerck said there was no sign of any threat.
I wouldn't classified as balloons. We are calling them objects for a reason”, he said.
The facility, which was not considered a military threat, has been described by defence officials as a “intersangled” without a pilot. He fell off a rocket launched by an F-16 fighter plane.
The incident raises further questions about objects at high altitudes that have collapsed on North America this month.
Since the first incident, American fighter planes have crashed three other objects.
President Biden ordered an object to collapse north of Alaska on Friday and Saturday, a similar object collapsed on Yuko in northwestern Canada.
Officials have not publicly identified the origin or purpose of these objects. Both the US and Canada are still working to recover the remains, but the search in Alaska has been hampered by Arctic conditions.
Meanwhile, days ago an alleged Chinese spy balloon collapsed on the coast of South Carolina on February 4th, after hovering for days over the continental United States. Officials said it originated in China and was used to monitor sensitive countries.
China denied that the object was used for spying and said it was a weather monitoring device that was thrown into the wrong direction. The incident and the angry exchanges behind him raised tensions between Washington and Beijing.
