Moldova's president, Maya Sandu, said that the Russian plan for Puch was tried to be made by people trained by countries like Belarus, Serbia and Montenegro.

“Plani included sabotage and trained men, armed military as civilians, so that violent acts could be carried out, attacks on government objects and hostage takeover”, Sandu said, adding that this is not the first time Russia attempted to commit such acts in Moldova.

Moldovan authorities said the detainees are Partizan fans.

Border police told Moldova's Radio Free Europe service that they were rejected entry into Moldova, arguing they failed to meet the conditions for crossing the state border.

“They could not justify the purpose of their trip to Moldova and do not have necessary documents in this direction”, the statement said.

A part of Partizan's football team fans returned from Chisinau to Belgrade on the morning of February 14th, after being officially handed the decision to ban entry into that country, has been disclosed in one of Partizan fans' accounts at the Instagram.

They reportedly have travelled to Moldova for the match between Partizan and Tiraspol Sheriff under the League of Conference.

It also became known that the rest of the fans would leave Moldova after 2: 00 p.m. on their flight to Bucharest.

The Partizan football club has declared through an announcement that Moldova's Football Federation, at the order of Moldova's security service, has decided that the match between the Sheriff's teams from Tiraspol and Partizan from Belgrade will be played without public presence.

“KF Partizani, along with Serbia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is taking all security measures for the team's calm stand and club representatives in Moldova”, the report said. The Partizan football club announced fans that entry into Moldova and tracking the match is not possible and urged them not to travel.

In response to the REL, fans who have not been able to enter Moldova have personally organized the journey.
