Hadzi's call to the prosecutor was made Friday at the court hearing, where she and deputy Paul Lekaj and former Presidents Donika Cadaj-Bujupi and Besa Battiu are charged that on February 19, 2016 they were illegally possessed in Parliament by a gas boom.
Therefore, though after seven years I ask the prosecutor to surrender, withdraw from the indictment. It's never too late to take such action”, Hadziu declared.
Haxhi's request has come as it is set to seek ballistic expertise outside Kosovo to prove what means the accused have had.
The justice minister has said that without such expertise it cannot be invited, tried and punished.
I think the expertise in this judicial process is very important, so it's the point of the matter and I consider that it cannot be invited, tried, punished people without such expertise. So, you can't judge people with the interpretation of the prosecutor, there must be evidence, there must be facts, there must be” expertise, she added.
Praying for prosecutor Beqiri to withdraw from the indictment has also had AAK deputy Pal Lekaj. He has said the prosecutor must withdraw from the indictment, as without witnesses, without expertise is being held in this judicial process.
This affects both the positions we have as deputies and as ministers, and I think the prosecutor needs all the circumstances that are proven here to withdraw from this indictment”, Lekaj said. /Betimi for Justice/
