Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi has returned today to the solemn session of the 15th anniversary of Kosovo's Independence, the Declaration of Declaration of Independence that former Prime Minister Hashim Thaci read on February 17th 2008.
Let me, by feeling the beating of the hearts of our ancestors, I with the greatest honor and privilege, read the Declaration of Independence of Kosovo. We, the leaders of our democraticly elected people, through this Declaration, declare Kosovo independent and democratic state”.
Krasniqi said that in the history of the Kosovo Assembly, there is no word and news that has been expected longer.
“Words that weigh the same constantly in the hearts of Kosovo citizens, sum up a long historical journey, a broad social awareness, a fair and legitimate political requirement and an aspirations to give Kosovo its real name: independent and sovereign state. Every February 17th, when you repeat the memory of that historic day, I feel the weight we've all had, that fate chose us to sign the Declaration of Independence, as something that keeps us connected to that journey of”, Krasniqi said.
Header The PDK said the history of modern Kosovo is related to the names of deliverers found in The Hague to defend the truth of the KLA war, separately with former Prime Minister and former President Hashim Thaci.
“Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Jakup Krasniqi, Rexhep Selimi and fellow fighters are today away from us, holding the final battle for the truth of our freedom struggle. They would have to be in this room with us on a solemn occasion like this one that commemorates such a large event, a protagonist of which they were. And although they are not with us physically, they continue to remain in the hearts of Kosovo citizens. And having strong faith in righteousness, we have no doubt that they will return as victors, as at one time, as deliverers. The history of modern Kosovo is related to their names, and separately to former Prime Minister and former President Hashim Thaci, without whose name -- February 17th 2008 -- as the date and declaration of independence as the event -- cannot be understood as complete, nor as accurate as”, Krasniqi added.
He remembered with gratitude all generations of natives who surrendered neither to Yugoslavia nor to the Milosevic regime.
“Shaban Polluza, Adem Demach and Ibrahim Rugova, are outstanding signs of this clear, lyrical, democratic and western path, to which we will be forever grateful. But this road has also had a climax in which the meritors of our freedom and state have fallen. The boys and daughters of this people who were placed in defense of the homeland, among the Kosovo Liberation Army, which was not only army but also awareness. Which, as consciousness, united what seemed to be divided, giving meaning and courage to our collective resistance against violence and occupation. Unforgettable are and will forever remain the martyrs of the NLA, with heroes leading to this era, at the helm with Legendary Commander Adam Jashari”, the leader said PDK.
Krasniqi congratulated the 15th anniversary of the independence note to serve as the moment of reflection to devote itself to building a better future for all Kosovo citizens.
This 15-year-old “, let it serve as a moment of reflection to take on the responsibilities that are due us, so that Kosovo will not stop, neither by road, by purpose, nor by effort. As we celebrate this marked day, let us renew our commitment to building a better future for all Kosovo citizens and working together for our country. To make sure that Kosovo remains strengthened as a strong and prosperous state, as a fan of hope for our citizens, and as a symbol of freedom and democracy. Happy Independence Day.
