He says Kosovo lost recognition and won association. He says this The PDK had warned him.
What we had warned about happened. Conditions and attitudes melt ahead of personal interests and the ambitions for power of Prime Minister Kurti. Kosovo lost recognition and won association. It must be said loud and clear: it is now officially evident that the European proposal does not envision mutual recognition as the main criterion for normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia and opening the European perspective for our state”, he said.
Krasniqi says it is currently not about recognising the 5th EU and eventual membership in NATO.
“Aty is not talking about recognition by the five non-recognising EU nations, it is not about opening the road towards NATO membership, nor about obtaining EU membership candidate status. For two years, we have backed Prime Minister Kurti in relation to Serbia. We have encouraged him to co-ordinate with our international allies and also offered concrete proposals regarding the final agreement with mutual recognition in the centre.”, he added.
First The PDK adds that Kurti did not listen to opposition advice and that through <x0 wrong actions” has degraded the dialogue process.
“Ignoring any help and advice that has come from us, head to head and contrary to the long-term interests of the Republic of Kosovo, Prime Minister Kurti, through wrong actions and policies, irreverently degraded the dialogue process. Consequently, it enabled the removal of the final agreement with mutual recognition at the centre and brought the country an interim agreement with association in the centre. In addition to the egotistical growth of migration as a result of the ill-governance, Prime Minister Kurti today also contracted the sovereignty of our country. Therefore, February 27th of 2023, for Kosovo, with Prime Minister Albin Kurtin, marks a lost opportunity for our state to permanently end the frozen conflict with Serbia”, he concluded.
