Limaj has also spoken of the plan presented by Europeans, which he considers a defeat for Kosovo. It says that in this case, Serbia gains association and does not recognise Kosovo as a state. Limaj has also talked about the position Kosovo has on dialogue, which he says is at a disadvantage.
In an interview for Online Economy, the head of the Initiative says mutual recognition has left this agreement, while considering dialogue over the years has had that goal.
“has degraded dialogue for the past two years from talks on a comprehensive agreement with recognition within. There have been three principles; the first comprehensive agreement, legally binding with internal recognition. The second has been a principle that if we don't agree on all of this, we don't agree on anything and third recognition at the end. All of this disappeared and we came into a situation with a proposal (the Franco-German plan), and this has come as a result of this man's behaviour (Curt)”, Limaj says.
These developments and tension that occurred in the north of the country, we are practically in a situation where we today have 14 percent of Kosovo's territory without legitimacy. A large part of the territory, today is ungovernable, there are no Kosovo institutions. The world is saying it's a security problem. To restore Serbs to institutions, it must be met by the condition they have released, so Association”, Limaj said.
While talking about the possible agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, Limaj says international demands no longer mention mutual recognition.
His view is the events that took place in northern Kosovo, which makes Prime Minister Kurti guilty.
The US's two presidents, Trump and Beden, have requested recognition. Now there are no such demands. It's already messages from these centers that have to be accepted last year's Franco-German agreement that doesn't have recognition in the north, and this is degradation, it's been happening for these two years, because those rhofilmats that were made last year and when our police were blocked from barricades last year in the north, so all of these created a completely different uncoordinated and uncoupled situation, and they gave a reason to President Vuciqit to remove Serbs from the” institutions, he told EO.
Limaj has said that in the dialogue process, Kosovo is in a difficult situation. It says that at this stage, Serbia is more winning than Kosovo.
“Never established the most difficult negotiating position we have not had as we are now. With this deal being addressed now, only Serbia wins. You lose nothing, you don't get recognition, you get association. Kosovo has lost it territorially in the weather. All these negotiations have been made since then mutual recognition. The recognition does not give, what Belgrade gives from this process, nothing but receives. The unrecognised association”, Limaj said.
