Latif: I gave up because I could contribute more outside the political theater

As chairman of the College of Surgeons, Latifi, has invited Albanian doctors in the diaspora to become part of scientific symposiums, lectures and “the transformation of Kosovo Surgery”. He has said in a letter to surgeons that Kosovo needs the contribution of doctors who discipline and work ethic have created outside Kosovo.

If all of you in the world, outside of Kosovo, I have lived two lives for more than 30 years, professional in the United States, since I have always been and am in Kosovo. In November 2021, I discontinued all the things I had built for years in the United States, such as Chief Chief and Director of Surgery throughout the 10 hospital network in Westchester, New York, and willingly and eagerly accepted the invitation to serve the country and the citizens of Kosovo. This part of my life will be one of the greatest and most important of my academic, national and human life. Less than a year later, with many unimaginable pain and disappointment, I resigned because I clearly realized that I could contribute far more out of the cage and TEAT R IT POLITICH” wrote Latifi on paper.

He has said that for Albanian surgeons, resignation “has had an ill-advised effect and has been a cool dédus in popular expectations, which thought we would finally transform and rival Kosovo health”.

“Even though I resigned from the post of minister of health, I promised and will keep it to the end, that I will never stop helping Kosovo”, he said in this letter.

Latifi has said that there must be some convenience to have “slowly run into health development”. He has charged that, in the health of Kosovo, “the medics” have taken root.

Pointed: All surgeons of any surgical discipline, basic science scientists involved in surgical issues, specialists in all surgical branches, or even medical faculty students/ Stomatology, and others who work and live in diaspora.

“On behalf of the Kosovo College of Surgery, I invite you for cooperation, membership, and commitment to the development and advancement of Kosovo's surgery, queen of all medical fields in the world”. We have established the College of Kosovo Surgeons (KCS) at the end of 2018 as a science and exercise organisation to lead the advancement of all surgical disciplines in Kosovo with standards and ethics of surgical practice.

The advancement of all surgical disciplines can be achieved through continued and structured education, which begins at the Faculty of Medicine, along with specialization that needs substantial changes, sub-specializations along technological advancements, as well as updates and adaptations of new clinical and scientific protocols.

The whole KCS thing is organized through Committees Different from surgeons who have special interest and clinical skills. While, all of our work is planned to increase the surgical approach for all patients, to reduce complications by improving results, while at the same time reducing the cost of care for all.

Now the KCS has gained importance in global surgery. Last year for the first time, KCS attended equally with other states at the American College Congress of Surgeons.

It was my greatest honor to represent the KCS in this big international surgery family. We'll be in this Clinical Convention every year, which is the biggest in the world.

Although we are the youngest college in the world, this year we will celebrate the 5th anniversary of our creation. Therefore, the Kosovo College of Surgeons has organised two very successful Clinical Conventions in 2021 and 2022, and for this year we are in the process of preparations for organising the Third Clinical Congress, which will be held in 12-15. October 2023.

This Congress, as well as others, will be multi-disciplinary with the massive participation of Kosovo surgeons and diaspora, as well as the most dominant international legalist, the world's most dominant surgeons, who are now honorary members of the KCS, and others who have come by self-finance at our two conventions.

Meanwhile, it is noteworthy that the KCS has begun to reprint the only scientific magazine in health fields, Kosovo Journal of Surgery. To keep information on how much better KCS membership we started with publication KCS Bulletin, which will be published three or more times a year from this year.

I know very well how YOU everyone feels because you work and live where you are, but you are always in Kosovo with your mind. It's two lives, but it's very important to participate in every activity of the KCS, Congress, and all college Committees, bringing your friends and mentors simultaneously. You can support a lecture on behalf of our respected professors, whom we have identified so that we never forget the teachers and pioneers of Kosovo surgery, you can support part of Congress, you can share our commitment to building modern Kosovo surgery.

Be regular KCS member, and proudly add the letter FKCS after your name, Fellow of Kosovo College of SurgeonLike I do in every signature I make. Come in Clinical Convention at the College of American Surgeons and look at the Kosovo flag in the family of all those countries that perform global surgery. I know you love Kosovo very much, So now we need it scientifically and practically to express it. Kosovo badly needs your contribution, the discipline and the work ethic you created outside Kosovo, the surgical and medical ethics and your scientific preparation.

Come and become part of Kosovo's scientific symposiums, lectures and transformation of the Kosovo Surgery, become part of the construction of the 8 Clinical Surgery Centres in Kosovo, from 12 so far as we have promised to do.

Help out one or more of the 22 sub-specializations we planned last year. Come and lay a stone on the foundation of the Centre for the Bio-Mediterranean Institute and the Center for Scientific Research and Simulation, as well as other Centers of Excellence. “If We surgeons do our job and put surgery into the highest pedestal, Kosovo doctors and other health professionals distributed worldwide will still join us”.

I know that for many of you, my resignation from the post of Minister of Health of the Republic of Kosovo has had a bad effect, and it has been “a cold shower”, in the expectations of the majority, who thought that we would finally transform and rival the health of Kosovo.

Even though I quit the post of minister of health, WI I promised and I will keep it to the end, that I will never stop helping Kosovo.

I have not resigned to stop helping Kosovo, in no way, we will all continue together, so I appeal to Yu, to all, to do the same, “We're here.In different ways, but effective. We, at least have the comfort-rejaine to go slowly to health development. That means we don't have time to waste with those who don't even know how to develop Kosovo's health. We cannot continue to co-operate with the <x0-neocolonial medical professionals”, which have taken root in different forms in Kosovo, now more than two decades. To build our country we have to have modern health, without modern health, we have no complete freedom and no functional state.
