Lajcak after meeting with Escobar requires establishment of association

European Union special envoy Miroslav Lajcak has met with US envoy for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar today, where he has also called for implementation of all existing dialogue agreements, including association. In a Twitter notice, Lajcak has announced he met with Gabriel [...] today.

In a Twitter report, Lajcak has announced he met with Gabriel Escobar today.

He said they have agreed on the importance of reconciliation for implementation modalities and the need to implement all existing dialogue agreements.
“After yesterday's summit, Assistant Assistant Secretary of State Escobar and I sat down to coordinate the next steps in the course of the next meeting. It agreed on the importance of reconciliation for implementation modes and the need to implement all existing dialogue agreements”, Lajcak wrote.

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vucic, at the February 27th meeting, agreed that they no longer need to discuss the European proposal for normalising the reports.

The European bloc has said the parties have expressed readiness to work on implementing the European proposal, aimed at leading the parties towards a legally binding agreement on full normalisation of the reports.

The EU has said that implementation of the proposal will take place through flying diplomacy, respectively, through trips expected to realise in Pristina and Belgrade, EU special envoy for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue Miroslav Lajcak.
