Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said that insisting internationals on implementing Association is due to their sorrow that “may have war in the region”.
He, during an interview given for Euronews Albania, has cited the war in Ukraine as a concern for internationals not to expand even in the Balkans.
The arguments are in our favour in terms of Association, and in terms of the insistence of internationals, I think there is more to them that after the war in Ukraine not to expand the conflict in the Balkans too, Kurti said.
Kurti has said that Kosovo and Serbia have signed 33 agreements, saying Belgrade has implemented 2/3 of them.
“One of the provisions of the agreement has been that Kosovo and Serbia do not stumble each other on the European road. On December 10th, 2022, Serbian President Vuciq has written to non-recognising EU countries not to accept Kosovo's EU application”, Prime Minister Kurti has declared.
He has also said he has rejected Ahtisaari's plan because he said that “Kosovo should be Albanian, despite having 93 per cent Albanian”.
“Plus after we announced multi-ethnic Kosovo want a multi-ethnic association”.
“Topics are on our side”, Kurti said otherwise.
