He has said he is committed to reaching an agreement with Serbia, stressing that the “agreement could occur this year”.
” cannot say at the moment when the agreement will be reached. But, I'm committed, constructive, creative to reaching this agreement, because time is essential”, Kurti declared in an interview forFrance24.
Kurti has stressed that the EU proposal, known as Franco-German, is de-facto recognition for Kosovo.
The EU's” Proposal provides recognitions to the de-facto and contains many paragraphs, from the 1972 German-German model, which led to UN countries from the two countries”, the prime minister said.
He has said he is very optimistic about a deal.
I think the next meeting will show how much hope we can be for this year. I'm optimistic. I am very optimistic that there might be an agreement this year”, he has declared further.
” We need a major involvement of the international community, but at the same time, we need official Belgrade to start and distance both from the past and from the present, namely, the despotic President Putin”, he said.
