Prime Minister Albin Kurti received a strange statement when asked about US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's letter sent to Serbia, where, in part, it is said that Kosovo and Serbia face difficult decisions”.

I haven't read that letter yet and of course I haven't written it, so I believe that the US continues to be our main partners, friends and allies in democratic statehood, economic development, and the full normalisation of relations with Serbia that should have mutual recognition at the centre.

Of course there will be other issues in that deal, but the recognition will be central to”, Kurt said, I follow Periscope.

Serbia and Kosovo's leaders will be making difficult compromises” to normalise relations between Belgrade and Pristina, which will bring security and prosperity to all citizens of the Western Balkans, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said through a letter to Serbia on the Statehood Day case on February 15th.

I am convinced that normalising relations between Serbia and Kosovo will bring security and prosperity to Serbia and all citizens of the Western Balkans. Of course, Serbian and Kosovo leaders will make difficult compromises to achieve these goals, but the rewards for the Serbian people will be great for the entire region, Blinken wrote.

In the letter to Serbia on behalf of the United States, the US reportedly recognises the strategic partnership they have with Serbia “to advance a more stable and secure future for all Western Balkan citizens”.

Secretary Blinken, among other things, said the US is a strong supporter of Serbia's ambitions for membership in the European Union, as well as greeting Serbia's “constructive commitment with US, EU, France, Germany and Italy during a recent visit to Belgrade”.

Even US President Joe Biden has congratulated Serbia on the day of citizenship, while stressing Washington's support for dialogue with Kosovo.

In the coming year, the US will continue to support Serbia's path towards membership in the European Union and dialogue on normalisation of reports with Kosovo, under EU auspices. We welcome your support to the EU's proposal for normalisation, which will contribute to the creation of a more peaceful region and with a more prosperous future”, Beden wrote.

On January 20th, Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq said he is ready to work on implementing the European proposal for normalising relations between Serbia and Kosovo.

Vuciq made these comments during a visit to Belgrade by EU special envoy for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia Miroslav Lajcak, the US Emissar for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar, France's special envoy, Emmanuel Bonne, Germany's Jens Plotner, and Francesco Tallon, adviser to Italy's prime minister.

The Serbian president said he has <x0 concern and reserve for an important matter”, but did not provide more details, since he said he could not talk about it because the proposal is not public.

The EU's proposal, or the Franco-German plan, was handed over to authorities in Pristina and Belgrade at the end of summer and supported by France, Germany and the US.
