Kosovo Government head Albin Kurti in interview for Turkish television TRT has responded to US emissary statements, Gabriel Escobar, that Association is an issue for which one decides because it is an international agreement and obligation for which Kosovo has been hired.
Kurti said Escobar is very involved and very active, but according to Kurti it should be careful and fair.
He has further said that the terms he has presented are his terms or his personal thoughts. As Kurti for TRT has said, it is the will of the people of Kosovo and the Constitution that has prompted it to say that Kosovo needs mutual recognition and only then can we talk about any kind of association.
Well, sir. Escobar is very active and very involved and welcome this. We met a few times. But we need to be careful and fair. But what I'm presenting as conditions for any kind of association is my arbitrary attitude or personal opinion.
The will of the people of Kosovo and the Constitution have led me to say that we first need mutual recognition and only then some kind of association. Let's not forget the bad taste from Bosnia and Herzegovina”, Kurti told TRT.
