Kosovo's admission to D- begins U- N-S unique numeric business identification system

Universal Data Count System, or as February is known DNS or D-U- N-S is a developed and managed property system by Dun&Bradstreet that sets a unique numeric identification, referred to as “num DNS” for a single business unit. This system was introduced in 1963 to support the practice of reporting the D&B loan.

Shkodran Ademi, shows that he has started the internet petition, where signing requires Kosovo to be accepted into this universal international system.

“This petition is starting on behalf of the Kosovo business community, which more than 100 countries have recognised worldwide. I request your help in registering Kosovo as a region and also require simplifying the application process for taking D-U- N-S Numer”, he wrote in his request.

He adds that despite Kosovo's recognition on global stage, the process of getting a number D- U- N-S, which is crucial to many business-related activities, is “still complex and takes time. This is creating unnecessary barriers to businesses and hinders economic growth of”.

“Recording Kosovo as region and simplifying application procession for D-U- N-S Numbers, businesses will be able to have easier access to the resources and support they need to get away and achieve greater success. This will have a positive impact on the local economy and will create more opportunities for people to open their businesses”, the petition initiative writes.

In the end, Ademi claims that “we believe this change is necessary and we respectfully seek your support to make Kosovo's” accession a reality.
