Killed his friend for 20 euros, Apel confirms the sentence to Sylejman Ahmeti to over 24 years in prison.

The tragic case, which had occurred in January 2020 in the Saquevo in Suhareka, allegedly started following disagreements over a 20-euro debt the victim owed to the accused's brother.

For serious murder, Ahmeti's first rate pronounced 24 years in prison and for illegal possession of 10 months in prison.

Against this complaint ruling in Appeals, Prizren's prosecutor for the pronounced sentence, by far, has demanded a harsher sentence, while the representative of the injured, Kumrije Krasnqi, lawyer Miftar Celaj, has proposed that the accused be pronounced life imprisonment.

On the other hand, Nazmi Mustaf, the defendant's defender, has filed complaints due to essential violations of criminal procedure provisions, wrong and incomplete confirmation of the actual situation, violation of criminal law, the decision on punishment and procedural spending.

But with the Appeals ruling, all three complaints have been rejected as groundless, while the Prizren Court's act of judgment has been confirmed.

“The prosecution defender's complaint claims, Nazmi Mustaf, for a milder sentence and the prosecutor's claims and representatives of the damaged party, the Miftar Qeyaj lawyer for a harsher sentence, do not stand”- the decision said.

The second instance further stressed that the device of the act is clear, understandable and concrete and consistent with the reasoning and that the same contains all the facts and circumstances in which all elements of the criminal acts for which it is accused have been completed.

The ruling, secured by KALLXO.com, says that the first instance during the sentence's pronunciation has assessed all the difficult and extenuating circumstances, and the same sentence has been described as fair and legitimate.

“The court estimates that the conviction pronounced against the accused by the first degree is in harmony with the intensity of the deeds committed and the degree of responsibility of the accused as executed, and with the intensity of the risk or consequences caused, and that the accused by him will be prevented from performing future works and preventing other persons from performing criminal acts” described in the Apel decision.

The appeal has further estimated that there is a subjective element of committing criminal acts, that the same has deliberately committed his actions, and that the criminal responsibility of accused Siljeman Ahmeti has thus been proven.

The trial for Sylejman Ahmeti had begun about three years earlier, where he had denied charges of killing his friend, Shaip Krasniqi. Meanwhile, he has pleaded guilty to a criminal offense.

According to the prosecution, in the late hours of the evening, on January 26, 2020, at a maqitevo village cafe in Suhareka, following disagreements over a debt of 20 euros that he now owed to the accused's brother, Sylejman Ahmeti deprived him of life, Shaip Krasniqi.

The prosecution reportedly initially told the late man: “A know who you swear, without fucking leaving him, if you're the man who gets out of”, and from there the deceased has come out to the yard, while the accused has quickly risen out of the table and out of the other door of the bar.

The prosecution further explains that accused Sylejman Ahmeti has gone to his truck and from there has taken his automatic rifle “AK-47<18x1> and in the presence of witness Liman Aliu and other guests in the local yard, in a short distance it struck towards the late Shaip Krasniqi, who stood by an axe handle in his hand and originally hit him in the face, who then collapsed to the ground.

Always in accordance with the indictment, while he was down, the accused strikes him again and again, saying: <x0...chu tou toh seven thousand shit, God take away the Garden”, he hits him again and again with a scratch he causes eight wounds that were fatal to him.

With these actions, Sylejman Ahmeti is accused of committing a serious murder.
