Tajikistan sent a group of 50 rescuers and doctors, as well as 2.5 tonnes of special equipment to Turkey, to help the country cope with the effects of the February 6th earthquake.
The United Nations, a day earlier, condemned failure to help Syria's regions, while warning that the number of earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria, which has reached over 33,000, could double.
Tens of thousands of rescue workers are continuing to find survivors, despite the low temperatures that weigh the plight of millions who now need help.
The UN has warned that at least 880,000 people are in urgent need of warm bars throughout Turkey and Syria. In Syria alone, up to 5.3 million people can remain homeless.
The 7.8-strong quake followed by several other powerful earthquakes in Turkey and Syria is the seventh deadliest disaster of this century.
An earthquake of similar magnitudes in Turkey in 1999 had killed over 17,000 people.
