He has also met the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a joint address in Kiev with US President Joe Biden has said that “The democratic world” should win this historic fight”.
“is the most important visit to the entire history of US-Ukrainian relations,” said Zelensky, adding that “underlines the results we have already reached”.
“Today our negotiations were very productive”, Zelensky said.
He added that the results of this visit will surely be seen and will reflect on the battlefield.
The US's decision to give Abrams tanks to Ukraine in early January has already contributed to strengthening Ukraine's defence”, Zelensky says, adding that he and Biden also talked about long-range weapons.

The visit to Kiev remained a secret due to security concerns. Reports also say Biden left Washington without warning as he and his wife Jill had a rare dinner at a restaurant Saturday evening.
Officials had denied that the head of the American state would visit Ukraine during his planned trip to Eastern Europe.
