Serbian analyst Dusan Janjic has estimated that the outcome of yesterday's meeting in Brussels was expected and that in fact only now is starting a serious diplomatic negotiation process. In a proposal for Kosovo-Online, Janjic has indicated that Serbia has gained more room for maneuvering in connection with the Association of Serb-based municipalities in terms of jurisdiction and regional autonomy of northern Kosovo.
“We received what was to be expected, a serious step in the right direction”, has been expressed, Janjiq broadcast Nacional.
Furthermore, experienced analyst said the process is expected to lead to Serbia's development and its EU membership.
Janjaq in his statement also praised the Kosovo political scene and its response to the agreement, in particular the opposition.
The “Oposion there (in Kosovo) is unique in its view that the agreement should be put out, considers it desirable, and, above all, a means of bringing together the US.” dealt with Janjiq.
He estimated that Vlora Citaku expects to be Kosovo's next president, and that which “knows very well that the US has changed attitude and that there is no mutual recognition”.
On the other hand, however, he has added that Serbia has had more room for maneuvering, precisely the cause of (like) mismanagement and abuse of association by Hashim Thaci and Albin Kurti.
Article 7 of the Association Agreement envisions that the Association, as agreed in 2013 and 2015, can be improved with serious autonomy, along with independence and the statute of Association. ” ) Yanjiq said.
Serbia was able to get something that it didn't even ask for, because association was a narrow political and ideological project of the SNS and Tomislav Nikollich”, Janjic said.
“We have a way to reach maximum and space is big”, Janjic said.
According to him, former Serbian President Boris Tadic, who now as an opposition has criticised the Agreement, could not have dreamed of a better outcome.
