Isufi: KSF is at the highest professional level

So stated in an interview for Radio Kosovo General Sefer Isufi, chief of Strategic Communication at the Ministry of Defence.

Radio Kosova: Kosovo's 15th anniversary of independence, how does the KSF find it professionally?

General Sefer Isufi:The Kosovo Security Force has a staff prepared at all levels, either from the high-level commando staff, level of planning officers, level of soldiers who are prepared according to the highest professional standards. The KSF's human capacity is ready without any hesitation to engage in any operation to carry out legal and constitutional duties. They are willing to perform all tasks with full effectiveness.

Radio Kosova: The establishment of the KSF professional level, how is the comprehensive transition period going?

General Sefer Isufi: The Kosovo Security Force for a short period in the framework of implementation of the comprehensive plan estimates that such a plan, with the dynamics we're going to be going, will be able to do it in shorter times than we planned in 2028.

Radio Kosova: Growth in the budget for 23 million more, how will it affect the development and advancement of KSF?

General Sefer Isufi: We understand that in this dynamic that we are managing this budget, it makes us feel comfortable in implementing our planning for acquisitions and procurement. Our plan or goals that we have set for the 2023 period, we think of putting it to work on the predictions, goals and goals that we have set. First, maintaining the capacities we have and building the new capacities we plan. The focus is on completing even better the fighting component, the component of support with fighting services. This means completing our fighting capacity that carried out the duties of protecting the integrity and sovereignty of the country.

Radio Kosova: The Kosovo Security Force will participate in the “Defender Europe 2023” exercise with more than 1300 members. How is this process going, given that Kosovo will be one of the training officers organised by the American Army for Europe and Africa, with the help of the Allied forces of 25 NATO nations and their partners?

General Sefer Isufi: Our central objective during 2023 is maximum preparation and final demonstration of the execution of the largest training of American forces in Europe “Defender Europe 2023” since this is certainly the biggest event not only for the KSF but I also consider it a historic event even for the Republic of Kosovo itself, because the full trust of our main ally is confirmed. The United States and other allies who have traveled with us since the first day. This is proving US confidence in the Republic of Kosovo as a stable state, with clear perspective that with its army is proving ready to perform tasks in protecting the highest Euro-Atlantic values in the defence of peace, democracy not only in the region but even wider. The status of RKS and the contingent of 1,000 and 300 troops will be among the four largest contingents in addition to the American contingent.

Radio Kosova: During the year we left, there was a trend of leaving KSF. What you can tell us about this phenomenon and how it affects the KSF budget.

General Sefer Isufi: I speak with both professional and official responsibilities that the trend of leaving KSF members, already talked about for a long time, is normal trends in any of Europe's most advanced and advanced states. We usually express concern about the only departure of a member, but when we say that we express concern, it means that every member we've recruited The KSF has invested in its potential in the training phase and even in its educational stage, and normally since an expert in a field leaves, it certainly causes Kurclip. However, in a general sense, this is a normal trend in each force. I consider there is no room for concern because the KSF is in the process of developing and building new capacities.

Radio Kosova: How the process of recruiting new KSF members is going. Are you satisfied with the number of applicants?

General Sefer Isufi: We are also satisfied with earlier recruiting processes, and we are also satisfied with the latest application process. We have over 2 thousand applicants and we appreciate that we will soon publish the lists and the route of the testing phase and choosing the best of the best.
