IPK rules a cop, drives drunk and jeopardizes the lives of citizens

The Kosovo Police Inspectorate has announced that a police official has been suspended, as the same one on Monday evening hours has driven drunk and endangered two citizens. According to IPK, the case happened in Gjilan, and that the same rank is captain.

Kosovo's “Police have been reported by citizens yesterday in the evening hours for a dangerous drive in Gjilan risking the lives of two citizens. After receiving information, the suspect has been identified who has resulted in being a police official (in the captain's rank). Based on legal authorisations the Kosovo Police have announced investigators of the Kosovo Police Inspectorate. IPK investigators have identified and interviewed three witnesses concerning the case”, the report said.

The alleged police officer in this case has been tested by alcohol and has resulted in the same having been driving his private car (out of official duty) under the influence of alcohol (2.08 billion). In consultation with the custody prosecutor, the case has been initiated with suspicion of criminal activity “Cause of total risk”. The police official has been temporarily suspended since the case under the prosecutor's order will be handled according to regular procedure. Other actions will be taken in line with IPK legal authorizations and in co-ordination with competent prosecutor”, said further in the IPK's announcement. /Periscopi/
