Hoti: asphalt has been spread over the remains of the dead in Serbia

Several terms included in a statement that has been issued as duty from the negotiating table in Brussels, between Kosovo and Serbia, have prompted the latter to reject its signing since September 2021. It is about a declaration legally binding on both sides to move forward in resolving the issue of the dead and demanding the opening of the archives.

The chairman of the government Commission for Undiscovered Persons, Andy Hoti, said the term “has strongly disappeared” has led Serbia to reject signing this statement.

Some disagreement has been, with the Serbian side, and the main one has been “missing by force” and not only as a term, but that this term is the only term issued by the UN, by an international convention, which correctly shows what happened in Kosovo. According to Hoti, Serbia is constantly asking for the removal of this term from the declaration, while he says it is surprised with the international community that does not condition Serbia on the subject of the found, taken on the basis of all the facts Kosovo has on the table for disappearances.
