He told N1 that establishing association is “urgent need”.
I think there's an urgent need for everyone to agree on this and understand that once you engage in something, you fill it,” said Hill.
He has declined to comment on documents that have been translated “into the media, but has stressed that the position of international negotiators is “very well managed both in Belgrade and in Pristina”.
US Ambassador to Kosovo Jeffrey Havenier also reiterated the position yesterday that Kosovo should move towards forming association.
He said the U.S. position is that this association should not be Republika Srpska, nor with executive competence.
The states of the Union of America think that now is the time for the Government of Kosovo to move forward with the Association of Serb majority municipalities. The second is we've been pretty clear about what it shouldn't be. It should not be Republika Srpska, there should be no executive competency. So again, the issues we have mentioned are also in the statement. The Union of America is just as stable and strict in its free support for Kosovo, as they have always been for a state that is sovereign, democratic, multiethnic and independent. And we bring towards the Kosovo government how it will fulfill this vision by adhering to those principles as well.”, Houvenier said.
On the other hand, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said Wednesday that the ethnic association in Kosovo with the multiethnic constitution is not possible.
